SARS has introduced eDNA as a security measure in order to minimise the risk of fraudulent transactions as well as to safeguard taxpayer information. This entails that your fingerprints will be captured and authenticated when visiting a SARS branch for certain services. See eDNA Identity Security for more information. The Richards Bay branch is located in the town of Richards Bay, situated on the coastal plains of the KwaZulu-Natal Province. The branch has adequate parking for taxpayers and staff are friendly and predominantly proficient in isiZulu. During Tax Season (1 July – 31 October), the branch receives increased taxpayer volumes between 08h00 and 12h00. Just a kilometre from the branch, visitors can catch a bus, train and taxi, making for trouble-free access to the branch.
