What does the Payment Due Date of 2020/01/31 on my Notice of Assessment mean?

If you owe money to SARS, then the 2020/01/31 on your Notice of Assessment means it is the final date to pay SARS. If you don’t pay by this date, interest may accrue on the assessment from 2020/02/01 for the period from the Date of Assessment until the Payment Due Date for all completed months that the tax amount remained outstanding.  Interest will continue to accrue on the 1st of each month, for the previous month, until the outstanding tax amount is paid.
