When submitting an application for a client type where CSK is a pre-condition, the application will be rejected and a message displayed indicating the reason for rejection. It will state that you need to add the ID number of someone in your employment that has passed the CSK assessment.
FAQ: What if I have any queries before writing the test eg. if I am situated far away from all test venues and cannot leave my work as I am short-staffed?
There is a query function on the CSK app where you can ask any questions.

You can cancel on the CSK app on eFiling. You cannot send a replacement as the booking is linked to you as an individual.
FAQ: What is the cut off time for booking before a test date?
You cannot book less than four days before a test date.
FAQ: Can I, the employee, determine for whom I work and for the client type I have CSK status?
No, it is the employer’s prerogative to nominate an employee for CSK purposes and for a specific client type.
FAQ: What happens if I get CSK certification but then leave my company and delink myself on the CSK system?
The company will be sent a notification to say you have been delinked from them and they need to nominate someone else to write the applicable CSK test.
FAQ: Am I as the employee limited in my career mobility if my employer does not release me on the CSK registration portal?
No, the system allows for either the employer or employee to de-link themselves on the system.
FAQ: Is the three year validity period for CSK aligned to the three year validity period of the client type?
No, these two validity periods are independent of each other and it is the responsibility of traders to ensure their CSK compliance.
FAQ: Will SARS limit the number of assessments per year after roll out?
It is anticipated that after initial roll-out and prior to the lapsing of the three-year CSK validity period, clients will want to undertake CSK assessments. SARS will after the initial roll-out review its capacity plan and re-publish the venue/date availability in order to allow clients the opportunity to book for CSK purposes.
FAQ: After the initial roll-out, how long thereafter can clients start to book tests again?
After the initial roll-out, SARS will determine a date, in relation to its capacity, and announce when the next round of tests can be undertaken.
