FAQ: After the initial roll-out, how long thereafter can clients start to book tests again?
After the initial roll-out, SARS will determine a date, in relation to its capacity, and announce when the next round of tests can be undertaken.
FAQ: What happens if I cannot make it to a booked test due to operational reasons? Who do I contact to inform them?
If it is after the four days of the slot’s closing time, there is no need to call the venue coordinator as he/ she cannot delete the booking as the slots will be closed. If it is before the time, the booking can be cancelled online and a new date can be booked.
FAQ: How much does it cost to book and write the test?
SARS will not charge a fee for the booking and writing of the test. It is free to book and write.
FAQ: I am based at the BBR border post. If there is no training venue near me, where must I write?
The nearest venue available (these will be on the booking website on eFiling).
FAQ: My company operates in Johannesburg and Cape Town. Must I send representatives from each branch?
The company will decide which employee to nominate for the CSK. The client must have at least one active employee with CSK status per client type at any given time
FAQ: What is the due date for CSK completion?
There is no due date for completion. Once CSK is implemented, clients will need to make the necessary bookings. FAQ: What will happen if I do not do the CSK test?
The trader (including existing traders under the 1964 Act) will not be able to register / license under the provisions of the new Acts for the associated client type.
FAQ: What happens if I want to appeal against the result?
You cannot appeal the result, you will have to rewrite the test.
FAQ: What language is the test written in?
The test will be only available in English.
FAQ: What happens if I have a disability?
Venues that can accommodate disabilities will be indicated on the booking system.
