Customs officers make R40m drug bust at OR Tambo International Airport
Customs officers of the South African Revenue Service (SARS), seized 67 pieces of calcium hydroxide used to produce crystal methamphetamine, commonly referred to as “ice” or “tik”. The “party drug” weighing 132.41kg and valued at R40-million, was intercepted at a cargo terminal at the OR Tambo International Airport.
R15m duty-free liquor recycled back on to market

SARS to recover debt of R15m for non-payment of PAYE, VAT
The South African Revenue Service (SARS) has obtained a civil judgment and writ of execution to attach assets from the registered premises of a coal company, Shefa Group, in an effort to recover a tax debt of R15-million.
