The SARS Contact Centre will be able to assist with the following queries:
- Registration related enquiries.
- Subscription to the MPRR tax type.
- eFiling profile creation and activation for MPRR, in order to be able to make MPRR payments.
Steps to follow for Contact Centre Support:
- Phone 080-000-7277
- Either select Option 3 (Large Business and International/LBI clients)
- Select 3 if you have a Tax-related enquiry – for LBI Taxpayers
- Supply the entity’s Income tax reference number if an 814 –xxx MPRR number is not yet available.
OR
Select Option 6 (non-LBI clients)
- Select 6 if you have a Tax-related enquiry – for Small Business enquiry (non-LBI Taxpayers)
- Supply the entity’s Income tax reference number if an 814 –xxx MPRR number is not yet available.
- Note that, once you have been assigned to the queue you can elect to make use of the Call-back facility where you supply your contact number and SARS will phone you back once it is your turn in the queue.
- A SARS Contact Centre agent will assist you with your query and provide you with a reference number. Remember to state that the query relates to Mineral and Petroleum Resources Royalty (MPRR).
Steps to follow for Branch Support:
Agents at SARS taxpayer centres (branches) will also be able to assist with the above queries (register, subscribe and eFiling profile). Remember to make an appointment before visiting a SARS branch. The appointment can be made through the SARS Branch eBooking System available on the SARS website or through the Contact Centre by phoning 080-000-7277 and selecting Option 1 – Make a booking.
