6 August 2024 – Customs and Excise Act, 1964: The draft amendments are proposed to Schedule No. 5 to the Customs and Excise Act as follows:
- Part 2 of Schedule No. 5 – Substitution of refund item 522.07/00.00/01.00 in Part 2 of Schedule No. 5 to amend Note 1(d) to include the references to “or a licensed marine remover”; and
- Part 4 of Schedule No. 5 – Substitution of refund item 54101/00.00/01.00 in Part 4 of Schedule No. 5 to amend Note 1(a) to excludes the removal of bonded fuel goods as contemplated in rule 21.05A.06(a)(iii) by sea from the customs supervision proviso, as well as Note 1(d) to include the transportation by “a licensed marine remover”.
