13 October 2026 – SARS will host a stakeholder webinar to provide practical guidance on the South African Traveller Declaration requirement and the related South African Traveller Management System (SATMS) on 14 October 2026, from 17:00 – 19:00.
Since 1 July 2026, travellers entering or leaving South Africa through air, land, sea and rail ports of entry have been required to submit an online traveller declaration through the SATMS platform.
The Webinar is aimed at enhancing understanding of how SATMS supports the facilitation of legitimate travel, strengthens compliance and risk management, and contributes to a modern, digitally enabled border environment.
