24 May 2016 – Unclaimed bag with R8-million chrystal meth

Pretoria, 23 May 2016 – SARS Customs officials intercepted an unaccompanied bag from India with 5 plastic bags of Chrystal meth valued at R8.1-million at the OR Tambo International Airport on Friday.
The bag was from Chennai India travelling via Abu Dhabi was scanned and revealed a suspicious sugar-like substance that turned that was confirmed to be Chrystal meth.
No one has come forward to claim the bag. The narcotics have been handed over to the South African Police Service for further investigation.
