7 October 2016 – Viagra worth R8-million intercepted at OR Airport

Pretoria, 7 October 2016 – SARS Customs officials intercepted 6 boxes of 80 000 Viagra pills worth R8-million at the OR Tambo International Airport yesterday.
The drugs – valued at R7 921 200. 00 – were part of a possible counterfeit footwear shipment that was detained on 25 September. 2016.
The inspection found 79 212 Viagra pills with 3000 Adidas footwear.
The goods were detained and will be handed over to South African Police Service for further investigation
