The following FAQs will assist you with the installation of ABC and XYZ.

Error messages

In certain instances, following an update, it may be necessary to restart the new e@syFileTC application service.

  1. Close e@syFileTC.
  2. Open the Task Manager.
  3. Navigate to the Services tab.
  4. Locate and restart the EasyFileServer service.
  5. Wait a few minutes, then attempt to log in again.

Alternatively, restarting the computer without opening any other applications may resolve the issue — particularly if the system meets the minimum requirement of 8GB RAM.

Please ensure that the user is using the eFiling credentials of where the PAYE number is activated on eFiling and that they have the correct rights granted.

To check the user rights:

  • Go to the portfolio that the company is under.
  • Click on organizations in the menu at the top.
  • Click on “Rights groups”.
  • Click on “Manage groups”
  • Click on “open” and make sure that “submissions” is selected in the drop-down box under “authorization level”, check that the relevant options are ticked, and then scroll down and click on “save”, then “back”.
  • Click on “manage payers” and make sure that the taxpayer you are submitting for has its tick box ticked, click on “back”.
  • Click on “manage users”, click on “switch to grid view” and make sure that the tick box next to your name is ticked, then click on “save’’.

Once the above have been completed, please check the below: 

  • User (Top)
  • User(left)
  • Change details and update rights, please ensure that you have the correct rights, and the System Default is ticked under the group that the taxpayer is under.

Check to see if your password does not include the “&$#” as special characters then try again.

Final check: Update eFiling password to not have a repetitive special character (e.g. !!) and change the eFiling Primary username to the e@syFile login name
