Trade Statistics for August 2021

30 September 2021 –  SARS today released trade statistics for August 2021 recording a preliminary trade balance surplus of R42.40 billion.  The R42.40 billion preliminary trade balance surplus for August 2021 is attributable to exports of R158.92 billion and imports of R116.52 billion. Exports increased by R14.06 billion (9.7%) between July and August 2021 and imports increased by R8.68 billion (8.0%) over the same period.
