Chartered Accountant Articles Programme – SAICA Accredited

The duration of Graduate in Training (GIT) – CA Articles Training Programme is 36 months, which includes rotation within the business area or theme of work (within SAICA Framework).

The programme candidates must hold a BCom Honours degree from accredited tertiary institution and Post Graduate Diploma in Accountancy (PGDA) or Certification of the Theory of Accounting (CTA).

The learning approach is structured through exposure in the seven areas of competence, with the requisite range and depth as defined by the SAICA competency framework:

  • Accounting and External Reporting
  • Auditing and Assurance
  • Financial Management
  • Management Decision-Making
  • Internal Audit,
  • Risk Management and Governance
  • Taxation

In addition Pervasive Professional Skills (behavioural skills) are covered in the programme.

Graduates in Training CA  Articles Training Programme candidates are required to pass Board Part 1 ITC & Part 2 APC to qualify as CA (SA)
