Graduate in Training Programme (General)

The duration of Graduate in Training (GIT) – General development is 24 months, which includes rotation within the business areas or theme of work.

The minimum entry requirements for GIT- General is a 3 year degree/ diploma aligned to the advertised opportunities / career paths in SARS.

The learning approach is through an execution of a structured Learner Activity Manual (LAM). The manual is developed in collaboration with SARS business subject matter experts, mapping the GIT development journey and learning outcomes.

Specialised learning programme (skill requirements) in this path is designed in collaboration with public & private Institutes of Learning and Professional bodies to ensure required competencies at the end of the programme.
