​Dogs sniff out R2.28 million Viagra

Pretoria, 16 November 2016 - SARS Customs officials and detector dogs intercepted 22 800 Viagra tablets valued at R2, 28 Million at OR Tambo International Airport yesterday.


During a random inspection, the dogs found the parcel behind a cargo shed between other consignments originating from Hong Kong. 

 
An examination confirmed that the tablets were Viagra.


The parcel remains unclaimed, and has been handed to the Port Health Authority for further investigation.
